I’m trying to update my sites to Wordpress 4.4 from Wordpress 4.3.x, and I’m getting this error:
*An error occurred.
Sorry, the page you are looking for is currently unavailable. Please try again later.
If you are the system administrator of this resource then you should check the error log for details.
Faithfully yours, nginx.*
I’ve previously updated Wordpress and all plugins just fine, but this new version seems to not like something about my setup. I configured everything to be secure / “proper” quite some time ago, and am a bit rusty, but taking a peek looks fine to me. Permissions seem to be correct, and www-data is being used where needed.
Any ideas what might be causing nginx to spit out this error when updating? Side note, it hangs before going to this page.

Hello, you can try to recreate your core files and check if its working after again:
1) VERY IMPORTANT - create a backup of all files and the database.
2) Delete all files and folders except for the folder wp-content. You will need this folder. It contains all the files for your theme and plugin.
3) Replace all the wordpress files in the install download EXCEPT for wp-content.
4) Update wp-config.php with your database credentials. They can be retrieved in your current wp-config.php.
4) Test your website. If all seems well, login into your admin panel and see if the database needs updated.
Give an output of anything you did or when you still ned support with this.
