Hello,
yesterday I got an email like this:
"Hi there!
You’ve been swimming with us for some time now. As a token of our appreciation, we’d like to give you $100 in free credit for your DigitalOcean account, valid for redemption by Monday, February 21.* Click the button below to claim this offer:"
I clicked it, it seemed legit and I could use the $100 credit. I clicked first and think second… Is this a legit DO mail or am I screwed? It came from a digitalocean mail and the link is a subdomain of DO.

Hey @komplexgyok,
In our public community, we aim to answer open questions about anything SysAdmin, DigitalOcean and beyond. However, we make every attempt to keep personal information safe and so don’t ever access personal account information here. This means we can’t provide help with any account or billing-related issues.
Please reach out to our amazing support team who will be more than happy to assist you with your account issue! :)
Hope that helps! - Bobby.
Hello,
Well, it does seem to be legit. You’ve done well to check the sender and the link to be exactly DigitalOcean’s. Anyway, if someone gets a real phishing mail, always check the exact Domain and make sure not to give your credentials if it’s not.
