512 MB droplet with woocommerce and booking plugin

Posted on March 12, 2015

Hi everyone,

We are having some troubles with ‘Booking System Pro’ plugin on our DO droplet. First of all we tried to run the plugin with woocommerce on our server as a custom installation and it failed, we didn’t see anything in the plugin panel (wordpress login). So we decided to try on another kind of server (basic hosting) and it worked.

This are the plugin requirements, we don’t know if the problem is with someone of the list because it’s our first time running DO and we don’t know where we can see all this settings.

Plugin requirements:

PHP. 5.1 MySQL 5.0 32 MB RAM for PHP 40 MB RAM for WP 64 MB RAM for Woocommerce

Maybe the problem is the RAM of the droplet, could anyone help us?

Thanks & Best Regards!

thank you Ryanpq! you tried to install a plugin called RnB - WooCommerce Rental & Bookings System, See tutorials here

Memory is almost certainly the problem when running Wordpress on a 512MB droplet. There are three steps you could take to resolve this issue:

1.) Upgrade to a larger droplet with more RAM 2.) Set up a swap file on your droplet. 3.) Optimize your services to consume less memory if possible.

Thank you Ryanpq, we will try to see if the problem is in the droplet. If is not the RAM we will try to set up the swag.

Thank you!
