Question

About Ajenti for beginners

Hi, guys! Thank you very much for caring!

I have my droplet Lemp stack, 1 GB / 30 GB Disk / NYC3 - Ubuntu 16.04.2 x64I installed by following the tutorials.

I’d like to know how difficult it can be for a beginner like me to install Ajenti control panel.

Now, to install Ajenti, how much harder could it be, since i already have two wordpress encrypted sites running… two domains, one producing and the other one in preparation… Fail2ban… what would be the difficult parts… please, guys, enlighten me :).

If it is too hard for me. What would be the solution for me in this case, to have a control panel able to create subdomains and e-mails features.

Thanks a lot!

@Areku

If you want to use a control panel, you should install it on a clean server that doesn’t have production or development sites or data on it as you risk breaking what is already working.

So my first bit of advice would be to setup a clean server (Droplet). Once deployed, follow the guide here:

http://support.ajenti.org/topics/1121-installing-on-ubuntu/

Once setup, you would then migrate your sites from the current Droplet over to the new Droplet that’s running the control panel.

Doing the above will ensure that you don’t incur data loss as a result of trying to install a CP on top of an already functional system.
