About free transfer in a kubernetes cluster.

Posted on November 23, 2019

Hi!

In a kubernetes cluster, is free transfer the sum of transfers included in each droplet/worker?

For example: a $ 10/mo droplet has 2TB free transfer included, right?

If I create a kubernetes cluster with 10 droplets like this, will I get 20TB free transfer included (plus $0.01 per addicional GB)?

Or I don’t have a free transfer on a kubernetes cluster and will I have to pay $ 0.01/GB?

Please, who can help me write in their own words without mentioning the documentation excerpt, because I already read and did not understand well :)

Thanks!

Hi there - I ran your question by DigitalOcean’s billing team to verify:

You would get 2TB/month of bandwidth quota for each of the droplets in their cluster. The bandwidth quota is prorated, of course, so if you only have the cluster for half the month, you’d only end up getting ~1TB of free bandwidth for each.

Hope that helps and we will look to clarify our bandwidth documentation. :)
