Hello every one, I switched to DigitalOcean from Hostgator today, but my problem is my website have alot email accounts and data from old hosting, I have alot of important emails. But when I pointed my domain to new ip adrress (DO), I can’t send or get email. How can I configurate Mx record to use old “HG” Email server but my website still use DO.
for exam : mydomain.
IMAP : imap.mydomain SMTP : smtp.mydomain.

In order to change your MX record you need to point the record back to Hostgator. If you do not remember the MX record value/content you can reach to their support team and they can assist you with this.
The A record needs to be pointed to the IP address of your droplet/server with Digital Ocean. If your site is already resolving/loading from your Digital Ocean droplet/server then you do not need to make any changes.
