Question

App platform hooks

Hi, Is there a way to setup hooks for app deployments?

I’d like to send notifications if a build fails or finishes. not all the members of my team have access to the panel, and this will make it easier to notify in slack/email about something is completed.

We don’t currently have support for that exact type of notification. Notifications and alerts are something we are working on. If you check out our blog post from this week you’ll see that we now support pre and post deploy jobs as well as a type of job that can be triggered in the case where your build failed. I hope this helps! https://www.digitalocean.com/blog/easily-deploy-open-source-apps-with-the-new-deploy-to-digitalocean-button-and-other-app-platform-enhancements

Hello,

We now have our Monitoring Alerts in place and you can refer to below link for more insights:

Hope this helps!

Any ETA on that?

Setting multiple separate jobs with it’s own deploy commands just to run a simple notification seems like an overkill.

Especially if those jobs are paid.

Thanks, this could be useful for now.

if there are different components in one app, is it possible to access the context in a job? lets say to know which one was deployed.
