I’m planning to use Digital Ocean Droplet Automatic Backup, it says to choose time window which range about 4 hours. My Question is, does my Droplet will keep running ass smoothly even when the backup is happening ?, I’m planning to use the daily backup.
I’m kind of unsure that’s why I asked since a snapshot require to shutdown the droplet I’am wondering the same thing?, because my droplet need to run 24/7 with every second has workload only, I have webhook listening.

Hello @louisaldorio
Your droplet will remain online and running smoothly during a backup.
You are not required to turn a droplet off to perform a snapshot.

Heya, @louisaldorio
Yes, your DigitalOcean Droplet will continue running smoothly even when an automatic backup is being taken.

Unlike manual snapshots, which sometimes require shutting down a droplet (for ensuring consistency in specific use cases), the automatic backup process on DigitalOcean is designed to be non-disruptive.

Heya,
In short, yes it will continue to run as it is. The main idea behind these backups are to be non-disruptive and unseen so to say. As such, you can go for it without that much worries.
