You can restart MySQL by running sudo service mysql restart. You don’t need a bash script, you can just run that command. Is that what you need?
Kamal,
my MYSQL is down 10 times for day, for this reason I need the bash script.
I’ve this 2 bash script in the /root :
#!/bin/sh
ps auxw | grep apache2 | grep -v grep > /dev/null
if [ $? != 0 ]
then
/etc/init.d/apache2 start > /dev/null
fi
#!/bin/bash
if [[ ! "$(service mysql status)" =~ "start/running" ]]
then
service mysql start
fi
None working properly
You can help me please? Thank you very much
You can create a simple bash script to check if MySQL is running and if not to restart it.
#!/bin/bash
# Check if MySQL is running
sudo service mysql status > /dev/null 2>&1
# Restart the MySQL service if it's not running.
if [ $? != 0 ]; then
sudo service mysql restart
fi
Run this script every 5 minutes using a cron job like this one:
*/5 * * * * /home/user/scripts/monitor.sh > /dev/null 2>&1
Hope that this helps!
