@AP <br> <br>That’s weird. I’ve been able to successfully spin new droplets from snapshot images (both in the NY and SF data centers). I wonder if there’s an issue specific to Amsterdam?
Yes. Your diskspace, CPU, RAM, and IP address are all reserved while your Droplet is powered off. If you want to save a Droplet for future use take a snapshot of it and then destroy it. You’ll be able to create a new Droplet from the snapshot image anytime to bring it back online.

I took down my Droplet in Ams at July 4th and have since been unable to bring it back online. Transferring it to NY or SF is not the same thing (at all). <br> <br>And this is second time this happens. Not funny at all. <br>
