I’m experimenting with a VPS server hosted on digitalocean. I want to run Bind and bypass the DNS settings on the Control Panel. So here is what I’ve done so far:
1.) Went to GoDaddy (my registrar) and created NS1 & NS2 both pointing to my same IP since I only have one server on digitalocean.
Now I need to do (this is a question)?
2.) Install Bind? 3.) Configure Bind?
Then I should be able to control my DNS from my server and not have to worry about the DNS control panel?
I’m new here (about 2 weeks). I would just rather have more control over my DNS than control panel offers. Does this sound like it will work?
