Hello everyone, my website is bietduoc.net currently selling to customers all over the world, but now the Indian market has many people entering SEO Spam, not real customers. So what if I want to temporarily block India?

Sincerely thank

Hello,

That’s not really a good idea to block the whole country however you can use CSF with CC_DENY to stop access from India. You can apply this as a shorterm solution if you would like.

CSF

You can do this using CSF (ConfigServer Firewall) as well. In order to block a country, you can use the CC_DENY option which accepts two-letter country codes such as the US, GB and etc.

In order to list more than one country you just need to separate them using commas:

CC_DENY = "AB,CD,EF"

You may find a list of ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_3166-1_alpha-2

If you’re not familiar with CSF or you want to install it on CentOS or Ubuntu droplet check out this mini tutorial:

You can also use third-party providers like CloudFlare that provider Firewall features that allow blocking single IP addresses or whole IP ranges.

Just enter an IP address, an IP range, or a two-letter country code you wish to block. You can check more here:

Hope that this helps!
