Can anyone help with setting up Sendy from scratch?

Posted on September 1, 2014

Hi, perhaps I have jumped into the deep end here. I saw that people said they managed to setup Sendy on the $5 a month plan. But I’m brand new to the droplet thing. I have been running my own shared hosting account on Hostgator for years but this looks very different…

If someone could please point me in the right direction of what I should do I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

Andrew

This question is pretty old now but I just wanted to document this in case people land here looking for answers. I just finished an updated guide on this that uses a one-click-install droplet. It’s a complete guide with a lot of detail that helps to understand why you are doing certain things. Please check it out here:

It also covers how to make automated backups of your database and automate sending those to an AWS S3 bucket, as well as using certbot to generate SSL certs for https.
