Can I snapshot just a piece of my disk?

Posted on December 12, 2016

I’ve got the 60GB disk plan. The OS plus my installed software only consume about 2GB of storage. Is there a way I can snapshot only that? Thanks.

Snapshot size isn’t whole disk size. It’s based on your disk space used. So if you do snapshot and use 2 GB of disk, snapshot size will be around 2 GB not 60 GB. So yes, you can and you don’t have to do anything more around it, just run snapshot.
