I’m new to KVM, but I read that KVM requires a processor with hardware virtualization extension.
Do DigitalOcean’s droplets have this support for KVMs? I’d like to spin up multiple KVMs on a droplet, stress them in different ways, and have a dashboard that illustrates the various KVM CPU, storage, and networking metrics.

DigitalOcean droplets are KVM based machines. While it may be possible to run a KVM instance inside a droplet (I know it is possible to run a Virtualbox VM) the performance can be expected to be quite poor as is usually the case with nested virtualization.
