Can't see my files on browser

Hey,

I recently started using Digital Ocean and I have one problem. When I put my files into var/www and then visit my ip, it doesn't show anything. What could cause this problem?

Have a check at the default web root path from /etc/apache/sites-available/000default.conf

    This is the correct answer. Recent versions of Ubuntu now use /var/www/html as the public web root rather than /var/www

      Im now thinking php might be the problem. All html files work on my folder

I don't know if this is right but could PHP be the problem? Index is .php
