can there be more than one droplet on my account

I have one domain. It was setup here as a droplet I believe? Now I have a new client I want to host on my account how do I add another domain and website? Is that “spinning up a new droplet”?

Pardon by receive credit I mean can I receive a referral credit if I set this up on my account or does it have to be a separate account. Pardon if this seems off topic but it is related to hosting two domains as efficiently as possible.

If I spin up another droplet can I receive a credit for this? I have two domains hosted here. One is my own and I want to add another domain. They are both low volume at the moment. I am hoping to have to deal with the “problem” of exceeding my plan :-) in the future

Spinning up a new droplet would be the easiest way, but if neither of your websites use very many resources, they could technically be hosted on the same droplet. You would point both domains to that droplet’s IP address and use your webserver (nginx, apache, etc.) to forward requests from the correct domain to the correct website. Does that help?

Thank you davidcells and epicCDN. That is helpful and I really appreciate your time!

@colinolmstead , No you don’t receive a credit/referral as you are not really referring someone to create an active account on DO which is the point of the referral program.

Also you can set up as many websites as your hardware can handle with one droplet, for most small sites you don’t require more than a $5 droplet.
