Can your DNS control panel be used for heroku?

Posted on July 17, 2013

Im looking to transfer my domain over to use your control panel for DNS. Does it support the ability for subdomain redirection or CNAME functionality at the apex?

I’m having no luck with setting up a free Heroku server for a small site with Heart Internet and their support is terrible.

Seriously, @kamaln7!

You think that’s a good solution? “Just redirect”

This is so unprofessional and annoying. Can’t believe you guys didn’t decide to solve this issue in last couple of years…

Why go with a third-party provider? Isn’t it as simple as having your web server (e.g., Nginx or Apache) do a 301 redirect?

Just so you know, CNAME at the Apex is not supported anywhere. If it is, then it’s something else doing the work because DNS RFCs explicitly forbid it.
