whenever I try to access my droplet from VC or Putty after login in it auto logs me out after 5 seconds and I cannot do anything about it. I need to undertake a Plesk repair but cannot access my droplet for more than 5 seconds

I undertook a restart via root password reset as I cannot see any option to restart the server, only shutdown which is not recommended and warns of potentially lose of data so hence why I haven’t undertaken that yet.

How can I access my console to repair Plesk without getting kicked out?

Root has been disabled however I have a sudo user I can login with which works but I get kicked out so what are my options this is urgent as as client website is down?

Hi @lellismoore,

First if you want to restart your droplet, you can use the following command

restart

Now, about the access. You can try accessing your Droplet from your WebConsole in your Control Panel. It’s designed just for these situations. Here is documentation about it and how to use it:

https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/droplets/resources/console/

Next about the timeout after 5 seconds. It does seem really strange. I would be very interested to hear if it continues to show even after the restart.
