Control Panel causes Firefox to become slow, freeze or crash

Digitalocean’s website was very strenuous on my netbook, but so were YouTube, Outlook and Facebook if you want some comparison. Here are my suggestions:

1. Try a different browser - there’s plenty of choice (Chrome/Chromium, Internet Explorer shudder, Opera, etc…)
2. I could never get Chrome to run without crashing Vista - perhaps try running Ubuntu on your computer (it can be installed alongside Windows) if all else fails
3. Try clearing your browser’s cache, cookies and whatnot - you should be able to find out how to do this using Google… or Bing… or Yahoo… or Duck Duck Go… or something else
4. Maybe too much stuff is running - close other tabs and programs while using DO’s website - I currently have nearly 500MB of RAM used by Chrome with just 5 tabs. Yikes! (DO control panel, DO community x2, eBay x2)
5. Try disabling JavaScript - this may break the page, but if it doesn’t then there won’t be any scripts to become unresponsive (use Google for guide, unless you want me to specifically link one)
6. Perhaps there’s another computer in the house? A tablet may also be worth a shot.
7. Go and view your plugins… somewhere - there could be a plugin (maybe even one you’re unaware of) causing issues. Try disabling them - don’t worry, Digitalocean have no adverts :)
8. Seems like a longshot and I just sort of want to end this off with an even number, but try using an ethernet cable instead of wifi

True, but nothing’s perfect and it seems most of their users probably don’t have major issues with it. (I can’t seem to reply to your comment - is DO turning into G+?!)
