Control Panels

Good afternoon ! Guys I am new to all of this , just joined this community and got a VPS here.
I am interested in learning on how to do the following things, and I don`t know where to start, maybe you have some advises and tips for me.

My vps`s purpose is to host a few websites I manage of different friends, each of them has its own domain name, each domain was created using a different company.
So Basically I wand to host them on this vps, and I would like for each of them to have its own *Cpanel *so they can make changes themselves. And If in the future I will have a client, I would like to host his website on my vps too, and give him access to a cpanel.

Thank you and have a great Sunday!

If you're wanting a control panel, there'a few options, though the first one I'd recommend would be a free, open source control panel -- VestaCP.

DigitalOcean actually has a guide that covers installation and setup on Ubuntu 14.04, though it should work on Ubuntu 16.04 as well (which is newer, and the latest LTS release for the OS).

There's also commercial control panels, such as cPanel and Plesk, though pricing varies and the cost is per month (generally $15-$30 per license). They're relatively easy to install and configure, though all control panels are simply a GUI to what you could do from the CLI.

Some of them implement basic security (i.e. a firewall), though they are not all-inclusive. You still need to know, or learn how to properly manage a server.

The Vesta Control Panel is a free, open source website control panel with website, email, database, and DNS functionalities built in. By the end of this tutorial we will have Vesta installed and running on Ubuntu 14.04 with a working website and email account.
