Posted on February 8, 2015

Hello,

I would like to ask where I can find a list of per-OS default usernames (& passwords).

Thank you,

Regards,

Hello,

There is not really a default list of these things. The default user for almost all Linux OS is ‘root’.

FreeBSD and CoreOS have different default users. For FreeBSD it is freebsd and for CoreOS it is core

For both of these, there is no default password as they require SSH keys and so no email will come with a password.

The passwords are never default, these are set on creation of the server. You will be emailed a password if you did not use an SSH key.
