Question

Disallowed Host Error Despite allowing ['*']

I am facing something very strange error . Suddenly my server start throwing error Disallowed host on Digital ocean. I did not make any new changes in my server. I have also tested that I have only one instance of ALLOWED_HOST = [‘*’]. Still I am getting this error.

I have verified that in my stacktrace of Django I am getting the ALLOWED_HOST as [‘*’] so no point that if it has cached anywhere.

Settings Using settings module django_project.settings Setting Value ABSOLUTE_URL_OVERRIDES {} ADMINS [] ALLOWED_HOSTS [‘*’] APPEND_SLASH

Team, my web is down from so many days . Please help me to resolve this issue.

Digital ocean stack : Ubuntu22 , Python 3 DJango , Guicorn

Hello,

What I could suggest is to try and change the [*] to 0.0.0.0 for the ALLOWED_HOSTS in your settings.py.

Let me know how it goes!

Best,

Bobby
