DNS issue - how to get example.com and www.example.com to point to the same thing?

Posted on August 2, 2015

I’ve created a vhost within my LAMP stack - example.com

My DNS is set up as follows

A - @ - Droplet IP CNAME - WWW - example.com

When I browse to www.example.com it points to my vhost. When I browse to example.com it points to the default ‘Apache2 Ubuntu Default Page’ (the original default host)

I want example.com to point to the same as www.example.com

Is this a DNS config issue or a vhost issue?
