DNS: Parent has nameserver(s) not listed at the child

Posted on October 25, 2020

Hi,

I configured a Cluster DNS with:

dns1.mydomain.com -> Slave 1 dns2.mydomain.com -> Slave 2 dns3.mydomain.com -> Slave 3

I added this DNS to a domain and work correctly when try to load her web.

But when I use the tool “zonemaster.net/domain_check”, I received the next errors:

DELEGATION	ERROR	Parent has nameserver(s) not listed at the child (dns1.mydomain.net; dns2.mydomain.net; dns3.mydomain.net).
DELEGATION	NOTICE	Child has nameserver(s) not listed at parent (dns1.mydomain.com; dns2.mydomain.com; dns3.mydomain.com).
DELEGATION	ERROR	None of the nameservers listed at the parent are listed at the child.

Why happens?, how can I solve him?.

I’m using CentOS with WHM/cPanel in a web server, and CentOS with cPanel DNSOnly in Cluster DNS servers (slaves).

Thank you very much!

Hi there @computereleon,

I believe that you have to add Glue records for your nameservers via your Domain name registrar in order to get that fixed.
