Does intra-dc (same dc) data transfer between droplets via ipv6 count towards my network bandwidth?

I am trying to get confirmation that data transfer via ipv6 counts towards the network bandwidth quota

There are multiple places in the documentation it mentions clearly that transfer over private ip does not count

Any data transfer sent by a Droplet using a public network interface will count against the transfer pool for that Droplet’s account. Data transfer between Droplets over the private network uses a private network interface.

When using an IP address on the private network, the traffic stays on the private network and doesn’t count against bandwidth usage.

For questions on this forum asking about multiple private ip addresses, the suggestion from DO is to use IPv6 instead since it gives a block of 16 addresses. But I could not find any information on data transfer costs over ipv6
