"domain already exist" problem

I purchased the domain from namecheap. and I tried to add domain into my droplet. but when I click add domain button, I can see "domain already exists " alert. so I logged in namecheap and added digitalocean nameservers into namecheap domain dns part. but I can see same error continually in my droplet. how can solve this problem?

Hello there,

The system performs a DNS lookup to see if the domain has already been added to DigitalOcean. If it has, you’ll receive a message that says that the domain Name already exists. If the domain has not been previously added to DigitalOcean’s DNS service, it will be added.

Please open a support ticket from within your account and include the domain name. You’ll need to verify ownership with a TXT record generated by the support and then they’ll remove the domain from the previous account so you can get it added.

It seems someone else has added the Domain already, maybe when it was registered to another person before you purchased it. Not to worry, it’s easily fixable.

The above is the help center, it contains the most common issues, a status page, contact for different DigitalOcean teams, and a way to open a ticket. I’ll suggest opening a ticket so that DigitalOcean support can assist you in the matter.
