Does anyone know if there is any sort of throttling when downloading from spaces external to the DO network?
I’m using a backup program called “restic”, and for some reason, the restores are SUPER slow from DO, but none of the other object store providers I have tested. Just wanted ot confirm.

There is no download throttling on Spaces, if you are having issues might be a good idea to quickly troubleshoot the network and see if there is congestion or packetloss anywhere along the path using traceroute.
You can also open a support ticket, but the first few steps they will ask you about is to provide ping and traceroute output, so you can check that out before hand.

You can also temporary try a different backup client like CyberDuck to download your data from the Spaces bucket. This should give you information if the issue lies within the client or if you need check/escalate this issue to our support team.
