Hey friend,
A droplet can be resized, but not dynamically while continuing to function. We recommend horizontal scaling over vertical scaling as it tends to be more reliable and it increases redundancy as needed. An example of horizontal scaling would be two servers behind a load balancer, each sharing half of the weight that one larger server might attempt to cover under vertical scaling.
