I am trying to deploy a php application and it requires enabling mbstring.
I used this command in the console sudo apt install php7.2-mbstrin
g and still I get the error mbstring is not enabled.
When I execute the same command again I get this msg “php7.2-mbstring is already the newest version”

Hi @littlegrayshark,
Are you sure your application is using the PHP version? The best way to check is to create a file info.php in your Website’s root/home and add the following inside it:
<?php
phpinfo();
?>
Then load the file and see which php version you are using and if MBSTRING is actually enabled.
I think you will have to edit the php.ini and uncomment (or add) a line to load the mbstring.so file
try creating a phpinfo() page and see if it lists mbstring as available or enabled
