"Fatal Error: AutoCAD Error Aborting" while working in AutoCAD

Issue:

Getting a fatal error when using certain commands, closing or saving files, using hatch or when copying / pasting objects in AutoCAD. The following error message is displayed followed by AutoCAD closing.

What I could suggest in this case is to follow the steps from the official AutoCAD documentation here:

As far as I can see this could be due to corruption of AutoCAD SPDS and you would need to perform an uninstall for the SPDS add-on module:
