Hi there , Yesterday everything was fine on my website , I made some changes to functions.php , header.php , entry.php & made some page tempelates months back. But when today I opened my site these files were as they came by default means without any changes. I am not a newbie in wordpress . wp-content permissions are 755 , no one can edit files except me , I am only the administrator then how is it possible ? My all changes are lost , is there anyway to recover those ?

Has wordpress automatically updated?
Its possible its overwritten its own files ( Templates should be in their own folder and called from the main wordpress files ) Typically you dont edit the wordpress files themselves.
If wordpress has indeed overwritten it, then unless you have a backup, I guess the files are lost.
When you update a WordPress theme all its files are overwritten with the newer files. That is why you should always use child themes to make changes.
