I wanted to download a new plugin on wordpress and they wanted to know my FTP Password. I have forgotten it. How can i reset it?

If you use SFTP to connect to your droplet with the root username you need to use the same password that you use for ssh. If you do not remember the password you can simply reset as per Bobby’s advice and then use SFTP to access the droplet and transfer your files.

I could suggest using SFTP instead, you can follow the steps on how to do that here:

If you do not have your Droplet’s password, you could reset it as described here:
https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/droplets/resources/reset-root-password/
Note that this would require a server reboot so that will be some downtime for your website.
