Hello, excuse me I just saw the Digital Ocean benefit provided by the GitHub Student Developer pack (free $50)

Upon registration it’s prompting me to enter either my credit card info or my Paypal account.

Will I be charged something by doing so? I just want to make use of my free $50

Hello, @jouo

You need to enter a valid credit/debit card or make a deposit via PayPal in order to use the GitHub Student Pack. Keep in mind that this is needed in order to verify account and once done you will not be charged.

The promo code field should be visible in the Billing section of your account, as shown in the link provided bellow:

Let me know how it goes.

Hello, @sbbblack

Have you added a payment method to your account, e.g a valid credit/debit card or added funds via PayPal?

I have a problem related to the same issue
I’m trying to add my code and it keeps telling me that the code has expired!
I’ve never used the code before as I’ve moved to my country back and it’s the first credit card I was able to issue

How to get the benefits for Github Student Pack, when as a student I do not have a valid credit card?
