As the title mentions, I’m searching for an monitoring tool to watch my webtraffic on my virt. hosts websites. All websites are running on 1 Ubuntu 12.04VPS.
I’ve searched around and found some options like cacti and nagios but I’m wondering if they support vhosts and if their memory comsumption is okay? Also I found ntopng which I love (<3) from the visiual display part but that one is not free? http://www.ntop.org/products/ntop/ also with ntop it tries to install apache2 when I use apt-get but I already have nginx installed so I don’t want that.
So guys, what would you guys advise me for an webserver 1VPS vhost nginx config on Ubuntu 12.04? Thanks!!

Hi, <br> <br>I would check out a thing called Zenoss, it has a community edition which is free and you can easily set it up on a Digital Ocean droplet. It communicates either through the private network, or over the public internet using a protocol called SNMP which gives you stats like Disk, CPU and RAM usage as well as keeping an eye on processes. You can also set it up todo transaction testing such as HTTP and Ping tests.
