Hey guys,
so I just recently gotten back into this. I am running a CentOS droplet with cPanel and I trying to configure the Local Mail Exchanger. Currently I do not have a SSL certificate yet as I am still testing. Now for some reason I cannot retrieve my eMail using Thunderbird and I believe it has something to do with the seemingly malconfigured MX records.
the domain is skylayer.eu and the email is daniel@skylayer.eu I installed a custom version Roundcube from which I can send and receive, yet when I check the domain via http://www.dnsstuff.com it tells me my MX records aren’t configured.
This is my current domain configuration via DO https://imgur.com/qLCqNdi
The same MX record has been applied via cPanel. Does anyone know what I’ve missed?
Help is really greatly appreciated!
<3, Daniel

Okay scratch the part about not being able to connect via Thunderbird, for some reason cPanel is showing me the wrong ports to connect to. Nonetheless, any idea why the dns check claims my mx records aren’t setup properly?
Your MX record should be just skylayer.eu (not mail.skylayer.eu)
Try editing that and run through dnsstuff.com again. It should
