How can I get the current usage of a Block Storage Volume?

If a volume is mounted to a Droplet, and the Droplet is on, I can check how much space is used using the df command. But if the Droplet is off, or experiencing some issue that prevents me from logging in and running df, is there some other way to check how much space is used? The API only seems to show the total size of the Volume.

Hello, @liam6dad4cf30a30137e21e9bc If the droplet is offline, then you can use the VNC console in order to access the droplet and check the disk space usage.

If you want to monitor the disk space usage on your droplet you can setup a cron job to send you an email if the disk usage goes above x%

Let me know if you have any questions.

Run df -h without any other arguments. That should output space usage details for all available filesystems.
