I tried to install signal-master (https://www.npmjs.com/package/signal-master) on my Droplet. This node module has the task to build a signaling server for WebRTC on port 8888. The server is used by SimpleWebRTC (https://github.com/andyet/SimpleWebRTC) which needs a signaling server to establish a peer-to-peer connection.
I could successfully install and run the module on my one-click node.js Droplet:
signal master is running at: http://localhost:8888
When I open my WebRTC page, the connection can’t be established. The url the script is looking for is:
https://signaling.comsimulator.com/socket.io/?EIO=3&transport=polling&t=1549976813646-5
But that page doesn’t even exist (404).
Do you have an idea to make it work properly? Thank you very much in advance Léonce

I just signed up to ask did you ever get this working? I’m stuck at the very point you were almost 2 years ago. Still no good information out there. I also get 404.
