How do I apply different firewall rules to traffic arriving on different interfaces (e.g. the public vs. private IPs)

Posted on March 8, 2019

I realize I can use iptables within the droplet to control the traffic from individual interfaces. However, it seems so common that I would want to allow some traffic on the private network that I would not expose to the public Internet that there must be a mechanism to apply the DO firewall to an individual interface.
