You can use the ‘root’ user. For the password, it’s automatically generated. You can use your control panel to reset it and it will be sent to your email. Then you can use your Droplet console to enter your Droplet with the root user and newly generated password:

Having said that, I strongly recommend you to use SSH keys rather than passwords. Here is a good tutorial on it:

The default username for most DigitalOcean Droplets is root. If you created the Droplet without adding an SSH key, DigitalOcean emailed you a temporary root password when the Droplet was created.
If you used an SSH key, you won’t have a password and will need to connect using your private key. If you don’t have the password anymore, you can reset it from the DigitalOcean dashboard under the Access section of your Droplet.
