I’ve received an email, that says I’ll be granted a 100$ credit in case I sign up. I did sign up but don’t see any money available for my account. All that I see is the current usage amount which is 0$. Have I missed something? How can I verify a balance available for me to use on DigitalOcean?

Hi @geo5318,
I would assume you’ve received a promo code over your e-mail, is that correct? The promo codes can be added from the Billing page in the Promo code section. In order to create your first Droplet, you must have a valid credit card on your account or make a PayPal deposit even when using a promo code.
You can check this link for more information:
https://www.digitalocean.com/docs/accounts/billing/payments/#promo-codes
If you’ve added a valid credit card or if you’ve made a PayPal deposit you should be able to add the promo code.
Hope this helps!
If your case is different, and you just received a link that grants you this 100$ credit, adding a valid credit card or making a PayPal deposit should actually give you the 100% credit.
Regards, KDSys
Hello there,
You can find your account balance here:
https://cloud.digitalocean.com/account/billing
This is updated regularly to reflect your current balance. Note that a negative balance means that you have credit, and a positive balance means this is the amount currently owed. This may not reflect up to the minute billing but should be quite close to it. This amount is not considered due until the first day of next month, at which point it is finalized in the invoice for the previous month.
You can find more information about our billing practices here:
https://www.digitalocean.com/docs/accounts/billing/
If the credit balance is still not visible for you, then you can reach out to our support team which will be more than happy to assist you.
Regards, Alex
