How do I set up server-side custom IMAP mail filters/rules?

Posted on February 21, 2014

I am upgrading from a shared hosting setup with cPanel to DO. cPanel allows me to setup account-level and user-level filters with IMAP accounts. For instance:

  1. forwarded email from something@domain.com can be set to be delivered to IMAP folder “something” on address main@domain.com
  2. subject lines containing “x” can be set to be delivered to imap folder “x”

How would I accomplish this either with a feature on any of the free admin panels like vesta or even SSH?

Thanks
