How do I set up Zoho Mail in DO?

Posted on September 10, 2014

Good morning,

I’ve been using Zoho Mail before switching to Digital Ocean. MX Records are already set with my namehost, but apparently I can’t receive emails anymore.

I have added the same MX records and priorities in Digital Ocean admin, could you confirm me that it’s the right way to go?

Have a nice day Sophie ps: domain silencio.fr

Sophie, You can follow the guide to set up Zoho Mail with Digital Ocean here: http://www.techwalls.com/set-free-email-custom-domain-zoho-mail/ Hope it helps.

Hi Sophie,

It look like the mx change was done successfully in DNS zone for silencio.fr

whois silencio.fr | grep nsnserver
nserver: ns1.digitalocean.com
nserver: ns2.digitalocean.com
nserver: ns3.digitalocean.com

Your MX records were recorded well on DO nameservers :

dig mx silencio.fr +short
20 mx2.zohomail.com.
10 mx.zohomail.com.

And the authoritative Nameservers for that domain are the DO nameservers :

dig ns silencio.fr +short
ns1.digitalocean.com.
ns3.digitalocean.com.
ns2.digitalocean.com.

So, according to those basic checks, you will just need to wait until DNS propagation is done to use your mail service again. It should be working fine in a delay between 1 and 3 hours.

Let us know if you still have an issue,

Regards,
