None of my Digital Ocean issued IP addresses are blacklisted, so I wouldn’t just assume that is the case and give up.
Let’s check to see if you are on a blacklist at this point. You can use this nifty tool from MX Toolbox to check. If you find your IP to be on some of those blacklists, you can appeal that to each list owner seperately.
If you don’t find yourself on that list, you may have some issues with your PTR, TXT or other DNS related records. This is because when an email server receives an email from your server, it checks to see if the domain name of the sender should be coming from the IP address of your server. If it doesn’t match, the server ranks it as possible or probably spam and delivers it to the end user.
Can you let us know what the server IP address is and what domain you are sending emails from?
