Hello, @aanola

You can check our documentation about the snapshots and the backups:

https://www.digitalocean.com/docs/images/

Backups are retained for four weeks, but snapshots are retained for the life of your account.

Since you’re running a WordPress site you can install a plugin to backup your site locally on the droplet or to any external host as well. This is totally up to you.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Regards, Alex
