I am trying to restore an image for past 25 minutes. How long does it typically take to restore? While doing backup it took about 6 minutes to backup

How can it take that long to restore an image? Are we not past the era restoring server backups from tapes? I’m currently restoring a backup that look about 30 minutes to create. Judging by this thread it might be ready next week. :/
It restored after 25 minutes, in less than a minute since I posted this question.
You may want to post a message when restrore starts to that effect. Since the backup took 6 minutes I was expecting the restore in the same ballpark and not 4 times longer.
