- I created key using puttygen.
- Added public key to /.ssh/authorized_keys.
- Restarted ssh
- Added ssh private key to putty, trying to connect and droplet still ask for user+password.

how do you add they key to putty? use pegeant to manage ssh keys. also, check your sshd_config if it is set to accept ssh keys

You can check these two articles in order to create your ssh-keys and then access the droplet using the PuTTY ssh-client
