How to bypass internal blocking

Posted on July 31, 2025

Good afternoon! We have been using your service for quite a long time and are very happy that there is such an unrivaled resource, which allows you to solve many problems that arise! There is a small problem…in our country RKN restricts access to Internet resources, apparently on July 27 of this year the turn came to you…the server is connected, but access to the Internet - no :( Is there any way to fix this problem? Is there any possibility/appropriate tools to solve this situation? Thank you!

Hey Stafford, glad to hear you’ve been using DigitalOcean for a while!

If your country’s firewall (like RKN) is blocking access to DigitalOcean IPs or domains, there’s unfortunately not much DigitalOcean can do directly; they don’t control external censorship.

You can try to use a VPN or proxy to route around local restrictions

Or maybe deploy a relay server or VPS in a nearby region or provider that isn’t blocked, and tunnel traffic through it

Alternatively, you can reach out to the DigitalOcean support: https://do.co/support, they may be able to suggest a workaround or confirm if specific IP ranges are affected.
