How to determine why PHP mail() returns false?

Hello! I am not pro in unix hosting. Earlier I just used a mail() function. Now it returns false, and I seeking for the truth) Where can I find errors? Or may me you now good article/turorial (haven’t find it here).

I have ubuntu, apache and php of course.

The first thing to check is your log files. If you are using apache, this will be the standard apache log file (on Ubuntu it is /var/log/apache2/error.log).

Hello, I would like to take a ride on this question. I have the same problem. I looked at the log and it’s empty. What is the next step? I do not know if it helps, when I do mail through the terminal the email is sent successfully.
