How to edit site on the go?

Good day everyone! Last week I just sucessfully migrated my site from Lunarpages shared hosting to my own VPS here on DO. Learning curve was a bit high for me but I'm that much more knowledgeable now. ;-)

My question is, I'm a 32 year old vet, now going to college for Web & Software design after 8 years army. At the campus we're only allowed access to firefox, chrome, edge and MS products (in the campus library...not lab time.)

Is there any way like with SFTP or anything else to manage my apps via a web interface? I'm constantly thinking of ways to nip and tuck my website while at classes LOL. :P

  • If you can setup a vnc server on your VPS, then you may be able to use a free chrome addon. Note: I've only used ssh with tigervnc, so I don't know what the security arrangements are for this remote desktop solution from realvnc.

I've used before (no affiliation) for quick edits and it worked relatively well.

  • I tried that nifty little website and it's exactly what I need for quick fixes. :D TYVM. I'm a vet living on the post 9/11 GI Bill so I can't really afford to purchase anything additional at the moment. As a free account, it worked exactly as I needed. ;-)
